Christmas Glory

Hello friends!

How are your Christmas preparations coming along?  We usually put up our tree at the end of November, so we've been enjoying evenings full of sparkling lights, hot chocolate and cross stitch as we sit together as a family.  For the next few weeks, people will be encouraged to be loving and generous, caring and unselfish, so there will be "peace on earth" and "goodwill toward men".  While those are noble aims, my goal for this Christmas season is a little different.  I hope to remember and live out the first part of Luke 2:14 - the part that no one ever seems to mention, and that even we as followers of Christ often forget.  Peace on earth was not the first priority when Jesus was born - Glory to God was.  How else could there be any peace?

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."  Luke 2:14

As we go through this special season, let's remember to give glory where it is due.  "The Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world."  I Jn 4:14  What a precious, precious gift!!

A Happy Monday (Tuesday?) prompt for this week...
A special Christmas tradition that my family has is...
