Isn't that a wonderful thing to be grateful for on this Monday morning? That God has gifted us with His Word in written form? His Word is used by His Spirit to teach us, to guide us, to correct us, to encourage us ... It is truly a treasure! It's easy to neglect it, though, isn't it? Our day gets busy and the next thing we know it is evening and we haven't spent any time with the Lord but a quick prayer before meals. If you need some encouragement in having a regular quiet time with the Lord, I hope you will check out some of these resources!!
Reflections in Ruth - A free, downloadable, 28 day (or so) Bible study. Here's a little sample...
Quiet Time Journal / Morning Latte - Weekly planner pages with space to write down thoughts gleaned from your daily Scripture reading (I see that I need to do a page spotlight on this!!)
Abiding in Christ - Weekly planner pages with a morning section for time in the Word and an evening section of reflection. (See this blog post for a closer look!)
Into His Presence - A full size or classic size daily Bible reading plan with an area to journal your thoughts each day. (Here's a closer look!) You can email me if you are interested in the full-size, downloadable pages!
The Grow in Grace and Devotional Mini sets also have an assortment of some of these and other devotional pages - and they are on sale right now, too! : )
I hope that gives you a little encouragement to take some time each day with the Lord. It is soooo refreshing and encouraging - and sometimes challenging and convicting - in the midst of our day to day lives.
